It's because we're doing stuff. The more stuff we do, the higher they'll make the prices.

Thanks a million for selecting an awesome topic. it allows the worst comment to be acceptable & OK. Awesome comments. Gas station manager wants to lose customers to others with cheaper gas. For example, Exxon is about 15-20 cents higher than 2 gas stations within 0.25 mile distance.

Gas prices not low enough for some folks? When people are changing their lifestyles to accommodate high gas prices then gas is way too high.

Oil drilling technology is rocketing, clean energy lags far behind with failure after failure that "WE THE PEOPLE" continue to pay for. Enough is enough!! Oh yeah and gas continues its upward climb.

"Supply/demand.
You can ALWAYS vote no."
We must be swimming in supply because we're exporting more refined product than ever. And Americans have been saying no...demand here in the states has been low for two years now, but the price is still just as high...so the more we say no, the more they export, keeping prices just as high...its a no win situation for consumers...if you're part of the oil industry, then it's a can't-lose situation...

Aston-Martin coming out with a fuel cell auto that only a few can afford. Makes perfect sense in our screwed up society of today.

When you control something that everyone needs, you don't have to have a reason for raising the prices.

They apparently don't need a reason to raise prices anymore...our prices just jumped 29 cents a gallon over night for no apparent reason...
