Just to be a member of a site that lists gas prices so that you have access to the cheapest gas in town?

Something to think about...If there was no chance of ever winning a gas card on GasBuddy.com (many people seem to feel that there isn't a chance after years of trying!), would you still enter prices and participate as much as you do? Just to be a member of a site that lists gas prices so that you have access to the cheapest gas in town?

It helps that my local forum is active, and the local members are friendly, which keeps me coming back to the site. We're also competitive. Got to earn those points to increase your rank. ;-)

I report what's convenient to me, others report what's convenient to them, and we seem to get about 99% of the area stations covered. I find the news articles interesting, and I like to send messages out into cyberspace. My roommate does Facebook, and I do GasBuddy. We find each other's posting pursuits ridiculous.

I like that I can click on my app and find places with the cheapest gas. I like reporting prices, so others know what is trending and where. The gas card is sort of like playing the lottery...much more likely to be in a car accident than win!
