Every summer there is a classic car show in my home town. They close off the center of town and the parade of historic autos lasts all afternoon.

I miss the days when I would see a car and know exactly what year, make and model it was with just a glance. Now it's maddening when I see so many newer cars that all look just about the same!

I remember the days of the classic cars, but I don't see any of the currently manufactured cars ever reaching "classic" status.

In the mid 60's my red 55 Olds conv was a chick magnet. Now I drive a SUV and the only action I get is the wife bitching.

I had a classic that caught fire in my garage and displaced me from my house for 127 days and 21 hours. That apartment was smaller than a VW beetle.

It makes you remember the good old days. Times where much simpler and you could make a living. How I wish we could turn back the hands of time.

There is something magical about a car that was built before autos become PC's on wheels.

Code enforcement will not allow car work to be done in the driveway here. Makes some repairs tough.

I just sold a 65 Lincoln convertible. Original cost, $3,500, recent selling price $37,000, to a guy from New York, sight unseen. He just repainted the exterior for $17,000 and redid the interior for $11,000. It can become expensive real fast.

IT WOULD HAVE 700,000 MILES BY NOW. WHAT AM I THINKING?!!
