The production increases are a hedge against transportation costs, too.

They're going to lose money. American workers are good at sabotaging foreign brands and also running those companies into the ground.

Noticed a Nissan "Van" being driven by a HVAC company today. Given its full size, I'm wondering if that is one of the vehicles they are going to build here as it would never fit on the roads in Japan.

Good for employees in the US. Good for Nissan customers in the US, as this will keep prices from rising to cover costs for the Yen.

Nissan will still be unhappy as US Dollars still won't buy many Yen.

However Nissan is owned by Renault, in France. The US Dollar compares much better to the Euro than to the Yen. So, better for Carlos Ghosn than Yen.

A hedge against the yen? Why don't they build a plant in China, India, or Vietnam?

Great, we need all the help we can get. Thank you, Japanese. Sorry about that little A-Bomb thing back in '45. That was just a little misunderstanding. Build all the cars you want here in the good ol' USA.
