just stay home, cookout on the deck, and watch on TV (or listen on the radio!) Works for me!

The Most Fuel Efficient, Tailgating or car camping vehicle? Haul passengers, grill, coolers, food, eating utensils, plates, cups, chairs, table, provide electricity from the vehicle or generator. A sporting event of some kind, togetherness and friendship? What else would a person want? Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, Produce and ‘Drive’ vehicles with high MPG, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. The price of fuel at the pump is too high! 12/22/2012!

Seems it would be a lot easier to watch a big screen high-def TV with surround-sound in a recreation room than to sit on a lawn chair in some parking lot.

Surprised these vehicles aren't illegal by now since they aren't oil efficient

The best tailgating vehicle wil have the cruise control match the speed of the car ahead.
As for football games, with downtown stadiums and limited parking, that kind of tailgating is on the decline.

LOL From the title of the article, I thought they were talking about tailgating, as in on the freeway...which was the first ticket I ever got!

EV's have billions of miles to go before they are widely accepted for more than anything resembling a novelty.

Total EV's are lousy for traveling. Too short distance between recharge that takes too long. Also they are too small for too many families with luggage etc. Yet the Gov. insist everyone fit one mold that they have decided is the right combination for the USA. They have done the same thing with the Education system. Maybe we need to start calling it the Brain washing system. Something like hitler did in Germany get the children young & brain wash them to believe what the Government wants them to believe.

In a fuel-mileage site , the best tailgating vehicle should be the one that gives you the best mileage in a draft. In the mid-70s a Vega was a great vehicle to draft.

If the game is not on the boob tube, I'll not see it the. Not going to purchase a high price Coaster Wagon just to go to a game and party.

Judging by the size of the televisions under their tents, my guess is that they may not be concerned with fuel efficiency on game day.
